Women’s Circles and Gatherings in Arizona and Utah
If you’re searching for a women’s circle or a women’s retreat in Arizona or Utah, you’re probably craving something specific. A room of women being honest with each other instead of performing for each other. That’s the premise behind everything I hold.
Where this comes from
Everything I hold traces back to one throughline, live with the earth’s rhythm instead of against it, and let the elements teach the body what it’s ready for. I wrote that framework down in my workbook, The Art of Regulated Presence, and circle is one of the oldest ways I know to actually practice it instead of just understand it.
What a gathering with me looks like
Some of what I hold is one evening in circle. We ground the body first, set real intentions, and move through breathwork, vocal toning, and fire before closing. I’ll sometimes offer non-psychoactive plant allies like hapé or sananga to help deepen presence, always optional and always explained before anyone takes part.
Other gatherings expand into something bigger, a full day or an overnight campout with primal movement, sound, shared meals cooked over fire, and dancing barefoot once it gets dark. These longer gatherings go as deep as each woman in the room is actually ready to go that day, and nobody gets pushed past that.
Primal movement shows up in most of what I hold. I draw from ballet, contemporary, hula, belly dance, twerk, and somatic movement to guide women through their own instinct instead of choreography, because most of us were trained out of moving honestly a long time ago, and this is part of how that gets rebuilt.
What it’s actually for
I want to be direct about one thing. I’m not a therapist, and nothing I hold replaces therapy if that’s what you actually need. What happens instead is women in a room together, feeling their bodies, saying true things out loud, and being witnessed doing it without needing to perform for anyone. Some women come once and some come back every time I hold something, and both are fine.
Who this is for
This is for women who are tired of performing wellness instead of feeling it, women in the middle of a real transition, a breakup, a birth, a year that cracked them open, who want somewhere to bring that instead of carrying it alone, and women already doing their own work who want a room that can actually hold the depth of it.
Coming in for the first time doesn’t require experience with ceremony or circle work. What matters is being willing to be honest about what’s true for you that day.
How to join one
Full detail on everything I hold, campouts, single evenings, and everything in between, lives on Journies. Whatever’s currently scheduled is on my events page. If a group setting isn’t the right entry point for you right now, most of my 1:1 time happens alongside someone actually moving through my workbook, The Art of Regulated Presence, and you can start that conversation on the book page.
