Somatic Integration and Embodiment Work
Something in you already knows this can’t be thought through. You’ve talked about it, understood it, mapped where it came from, and the pattern is still there. Still living in your shoulders, your jaw, the way you brace before anyone’s even raised their voice. That’s usually the signal that it’s time for something other than more thinking about it.
Where this work comes from
Everything I hold traces back to one thing I wrote down and taught myself first, The Art of Regulated Presence, a nervous system workbook built on one principle. Containment before current, vessel before force. Underneath that principle is something older and simpler. Live with the earth’s rhythm instead of against it. Let the elements, breath, fire, water, ground, teach your body how to settle and how to move. Ritual and integration are how that actually gets practiced instead of just understood.
What a session actually is
1:1 sessions are mostly how I walk that material through someone’s actual body while they’re working through the workbook itself, whether that’s a practitioner using it in their own container or someone in their own deep personal process who wants a body alongside them while they go through it. We work with breath, movement, and sensation, in the places where a pattern actually lives, because that’s where it actually changes. Some sessions are physically active. Some are almost still, just tracking what moves under the surface once you slow down enough to feel it. Shadow work and ritual show up when they’re called for, not as decoration on top of talking.
This is trauma-informed work. I trained through a CPD-certified trauma-informed program, and every session is paced by what your nervous system can actually hold that day, not by a plan I walked in with.
Where this fits with therapy
I’ll say this plainly because not enough practitioners do. I’m not a licensed therapist, and this work is not talk therapy or a replacement for it. Many of the people I work with are already in therapy, or came out the other side of years of it, looking for something that meets them in the body instead of only in language. If you’re navigating a diagnosed condition or you’re in crisis, please start with a licensed provider. This work sits alongside good care. It doesn’t stand in for it.
Virtual and in person
I hold these sessions both virtually and in person, and I work with people across Arizona and Utah. Distance isn’t the barrier people assume. Some of the sessions that have moved someone the most happened over video, because the body doesn’t need a room to tell the truth.
How it begins
Every 1:1 container starts with a consultation call. Not a sales pitch, an actual conversation, so we can both feel out whether this is the right fit, the right timing, and whether working through the workbook alongside sessions makes sense for you. I’d rather turn someone away than build a container I’m not ready to hold.
Where to go from here
The workbook itself lives on the work page, where you can read what’s actually inside it. You can read more about how these sessions run on the sessions page, or skip ahead and book a consultation.
